Meet Our Family

We are the Donofrio's- Julie, Gary, Lea and GJ.  In 2015, our family started our adventure as a hobby farm on 2.5 acres, 4 miles from our home, with 2 horses, a few chickens, and a Kune Kune pig named Eloise.  Our plan was to build a home on the property and "hone in" on what we wanted to expand on.  We found what we liked, didn't like, and went from there.  Our children are 4Hers and all around animal lovers, but even they wanted to simplify and focus on specific aspects of their interests.

In 2019, we purchased a 12 acre property with a unique "Earth Insulated" home, one of only a handful in the country.  There was no barn, no fencing, a blank canvas for us to create a foundation.  The summer was busy building, restructuring, and settling in animals that had been staying with friends and family while we were moving in and out of 3 properties.

We have definitely "honed in" on our focus- to produce quality heritage stock animals.  We breed and raise AKPR registered Kune Kune pigs.  Our son GJ also raises Turkeys, as well as Egg Laying chickens, and sell eggs as well.  This year, our daughter Lea is expanding to New Zealand rabbits.  Both kids show in 4H as well.

There is so much ahead of us, and we are eager to share it with you.  We had started tapping for Maple Syrup this past winter, as there is an existing set up on our property.  This was a fun experience for our whole family, and we will be looking to expand possibly next year.  We hope you will follow our journey, and come along for the ride!
